What is the full form of http?

HTTP is an application-based protocol that normally contains the guidelines list for transferring multimedia communication and distributed data file systems on the (WWW) World Wide Web.
HTTP full form in the computer is “Hypertext Transfer Protocol”. By enhancing the communication in the web browser HTTP over the internet allows access to the information by the people. In other words, the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is an information transporting protocol between the web server and web browser.
Most of the websites on the internet is using HTTP to access any page or file from the internet. In the client-server computing model, the HTTP is the request-response protocol that is designed within the internet protocol suite framework as an application layer protocol.

Advantages and Disadvantages of HTTP

The HTTP has both advantages and disadvantages, some of these are given below:
• Over the browser database the data transmission is accelerated by HTTP.
• Compare to other protocols the HTTP is relatively slow.
• The encryption facility is not in the HTTP which compromises the privacy of the individual and also threatened the data transmission over the internet and this is a serious problem when the data is sensitive.
