What is the full form of NASA?
The full form of NASA is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. It is a space agency of the United States (US), it is responsible for space programs, Space science, and Space research. NASA was established in the year 1958 after the succession of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). The launches the government as well as the civilian space programs.
The famous space programs by NASA are; Apollo mission on the moon, Curiosity, and opportunity missions on Mars. The main focus of NASA is a better understanding of the Earth and the universe. To achieve these goals, NASA has launched many projects or missions like the Hubble telescope, and with the help of many countries, it has made International Space Station for the study of Earth and the universe.
The main headquarter of NASA is located in Washington DC which handles all the operations and guidance of the missions or projects. In the year 1969, the Apollo 11 mission of NASA launched and Neil Armstrong became the first person in the world who walked on the moon.
