The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force, for the recruitment of the vacancies in the three branches that are Flying Branch (Short Service Commission), Ground Duty Technical Branch (Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission), and Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch (Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission) of the Indian Air Force.
The Cut Off declared by the exam authority is the minimum qualifying marks which a candidate has to obtain to get into the next AFSB stage. You can visit the official website of the Indian Air Force to check your cut-off.
There are many factors that determine the AFCAT Cut Off these are the number of available vacancies, the number of candidates who appeared in the AFCAT exam, etc. On the same day or maybe after few days of declaring the result Indian Air Force releases the Cut Off and the qualifying candidates can prepare for the next stage of AFSB and medical test.
The final selection of the candidate is done on the basis of the combined marks of stage 1 of the AFCAT online test (EKT is of only qualifying nature), stage 2 AFSB interview, and the candidate has to clear the medical test.
